Earlier this week I had a chance to check out Out of Our Minds Art Studio in Macungie. This art and paint studio has been open for just over a year and has made quite a splash since then, winning multiple awards (see them all here!) and quickly becoming the go-to place for art and parties in the Lehigh Valley.
Instructor Angela Faidley offers a variety of lessons and classes, including Mom and Me, Date Night and one that's been on my to-do list for some time - Sip and Paint! At these parties, each guest paints their very own 8x10 canvas while snacking on cheese and crackers and sipping on free wine, which makes for a perfect Mom's Night Out! In addition to public classes, private sessions are available for groups for of 6 or more, and that's just what I scheduled with 5 of my friends!
With a private class, you're free to choose any design you want to paint, and we decided on this image that we found on Google.
We were all nervous about how we would recreate such a beautiful painting (especially with our limited artistic ability!) but Angela was the perfect instructor, guiding us every step of the way while still encouraging us to put our own interpretation into the design.

In the end, we were thrilled with the way they turned out, and each of us left with a gorgeous painting to proudly display in our home.
Here's my finished product, with my two sons added to give it an extra-personal touch! :) The entire experience was easy (I promise!) and FUN and I can't wait to go back!
