Oink Oink! Peppa Pig Live came to town!
Last week, I had a chance to check out Peppa Pig Live: Peppa's Big Splash with my two boys, ages 3 & 5 at the beautiful Santander Performing Arts Center in Reading, PA. This is the first live tour for Peppa Pig in the U.S., and I was anxious to see if the kids would love it as much as they love the cartoon on Nick Jr.
As soon as the curtain opened, the kids were thrilled to see all of the characters they know and love, including Peppa Pig and her little brother George (with his dinosaur, of course!), as well as Pedro Pony, Zoe Zebra and Danny Dog. Mommy Pig, Daddy Pig, and a few other favorites also made appearances.
The show, which uses primarily large puppets, told the story of many familiar Peppa Pig tales, including Muddy Puddles and Mr. Dinosaur is Lost. It incorporated plenty of songs and lots of audience participation. Peppa Pig Live lasted under 90 minutes, including a 15 minute intermission, which was the perfect duration for the young audience.
Overall, I thought it was cute and my kids absolutely LOVED it. One of their favorite parts was the performance of the popular Bing Bong Song. Check it out below!
