To my boys,
With Mother's Day just around the corner, I want to say thank you for giving me the greatest gift of all, the gift of being your mommy. Here are 5 of the many reasons that I'm thankful for you.
1. You help me to laugh. A lot. You both think I'm hysterical, and there's nothing better than watching you break into a fit of giggles when I purposely do something silly, like put your pants on your head while I'm helping you get dressed. Even better is that you both love making me laugh as well, sometimes intentionally and sometimes not. Watching your personalities shine as you discover your sense of humor is always a highlight of my day.
2. Because of you, I am more motivated me to explore the world around us and connect to nature. Just yesterday we spent close to an hour digging for worms in the dirt. I taught you what I know about worms and you taught me how to stop, slow down and just be. I really enjoy these times we spend together, learning and exploring.
3. You remind me to dream big. As 4 and 5 year old boys, no goal or aspiration is too high. Your dreams are huge, like growing up to become Monster Truck drivers, and I'll support them every step of the way.

4. You have taught me that when things really don't go your way, it's okay to pout and cry and even yell a
little. And then let it go and move on. Amazingly, you don't dwell on the things that go wrong, and you're reminding me to shake it off, too.
5. Mostly, you have taught me about love. More than I ever even imagined. From the moment I first felt your kicks inside my belly, the intense love I have for you is something that can't be measured. You are extensions of my own heart.
