Those who do not cook should try (with BOU!)

By Jenelle Henry June 29, 2018

I am a self-declared non-cook. I’ve never been a great cook or baker. Thankfully I married a chef who enjoys cooking but he finds very little of what I make good enough to eat. Since having kids, I cook even less. He handles that duty in our household.

On occasion, I attempt to cook. I open a cookbook and attempt to make something. Many of those attempts are failures. Recently, an occasion to cook for my kids presented itself, and I decided to try my hand at making chicken noodle soup from scratch using BOU Chicken Bouillon.  My kids love the noodle soup that my mother makes, so why wouldn’t they love mine? I know my mother used bouillon when I was growing up because I remember peeling off those shiny little papers as a child. I decided to give it a try and see what I could do.

I attempted and you know what? I succeeded. They liked it! My little guy slurped the first bowl up and declared that he needed seconds. My little girl (Miss Picky Pants) also asked for an extra spoonful. No one asked for snacks that evening. Their bellies were full and this momma was happy.

Do you know who also tried it and liked it? My husband! (Finally, a win for me!)

With the convenience of BOU’s chicken bouillon cubes, I was able to make a flavorful and home-style noodle soup using just a store-bought rotisserie chicken and simple veggies. BOU is made in the USA, non-GMO and uses no added MSG ingredients.

My next attempt in cooking might just be using their beef bouillon to make myself a Bloody Mary! You can check out that recipe as well as many others on their website at www.bouforyou.com
