Fall is a great time to visit the Lehigh Valley Zoo! Here's what's happening this month:
 | FARM FEST WEEKENDSaturday October 6, 2018On Saturday, October 6th and Sunday, October 7th come visit the Lehigh Valley Zoo for our 2018 Farm Fest! The first 200 guests each day will receive a pack of seeds to take home and plant! This year we will be featuring local farm-related vendors such as Wittman’s World Cheeses and Heaven’s Honey! There will also be lawn games, inflatable horse bouncers, a hands-free donut eating contest, and all-day tours inside our barn yard exhibit! Be sure to get your activity tokens so you can hand-feed our barn yard animals and stop by the barn yard area between 1:00-1:30p for a chance to meet a chicken! We will have photo opportunities in front of our zoo tractor as well as music from 12p-2p courtesy of DJ Ray from Fling-A-Things! Be sure to try your hand at cow milking at our Milking Simulation Station! There will also be interactive tours inside our Goat, Lorikeet and Kangaroo exhibits! |
 | OTTERTOBERFESTSaturday October 13, 2018Grab your lederhosen and join us at the Lehigh Valley Zoo on Saturday, October 13th to celebrate OTTERtoberfest! This annual event will feature a wide variety of gourmet food and craft vendors, crafts and activities for children, and live German music courtesy of the Happy Dutchman German Band from 11a-2p! Be sure to stop by our interactive exhibits for a chance to tour INSIDE the Kangaroo Walkabout, feed the Lorikeets a cup of tropical nectar at Lorikeet Landing, or to brush the goats during the Goat Experience! |

 | BEAN-NANZA (INTERNATIONAL SLOTH DAY)Sunday October 14, 2018Join us here at the Lehigh Valley Zoo on Sunday, October 14th for an experience you won’t forget! From 11:30AM-12:30PM our resident Sloth, Bean, will be on exhibit in the Exercise Yard for a guest Meet and Greet! This slow-mover is a crowd favorite so be sure to come say hello! Remember your cameras so you can snap a selfie. Our knowledgeable Conservation Educators will be on-site as well to answer any questions you have about Bean!  | BOO AT THE ZOOSaturday October 20, Sunday October 21, Saturday October 27, & Sunday October 28, 2018Boo at the Zoo is back and better than ever! This annual crowd favorite has quickly become one of the Lehigh Valley Zoo’s biggest events! Get your costumes ready and join us on one of FOUR event dates! On Saturday, 10/20 and Sunday, 10/21 as well as Saturday, 10/27 and Sunday, 10/28 there will be trick or treating throughout the zoo! We will have a variety of candy/treat stations, craft/activity tables, vendors, and music from 12PM-2PM each day courtesy of DJ Ray from Fling-A-Things! In addition to all that excitement we will also be featuring a fun line up of interactive experiences including spooky animal mingles, tours inside our Lorikeet Landing and Kangaroo Exhibit, as well as a chance to hand-feed our giraffe lettuce!
