Every Wednesday, Macaroni Kid Allentown - Kutztown shares five things to do with your kids in the Lehigh Valley over the coming week. The summer is speeding along and there are so many things to do. The real question is, which of these amazing events to choose?

The Lehigh Valley has a selection of great mini golf courses for you and your kids to enjoy! Plus several options have ice cream available for a yummy treat once you're done. This is a low-cost and fun way to spend a few hours this weekend.


2. There are not one, not two, not three, but FOUR different venues hosting free concerts this weekend! On Friday night you can head out to either Covered Bridge Park for Philadelphia Funk Authority or Lockridge Park to listen to music by The Large Flowerheads. On Saturday, Kutztown Park Bandshell is hosting The Fabulous Greaseband. Finally, on Sunday, you can head to Bear Creek to see Frog Holler. With this lineup, there's sure to be something for everyone! (July 23rd, 24th, and 25th)


3. Celebrate Christmas in July at The Lehigh Valley Zoo (https://www.lvzoo.org/event/christmas-in-july/)

This weekend, The Lehigh Valley Zoo will be featuring two days full of Christmas fun! Come see Santa or Elsa and Anna, go on an Elf-on-the-shelf photo safari, or chose a holiday craft to complete. There will also be special holiday-themed alcoholic beverages on the 24th. On the 25th, the first 100 children with a pre-purchased ticket will receive a special Holiday Spongebob plush.  (July 24th and 25th)


4. Grand Carnival Premiers at Dorney Park (https://www.dorneypark.com/events/grand-carnivale)

From July 24th - August 8th, Dorney Park will be celebrating Carnival with an array of events. Head out to the park to see floats, parades, and street performers. You can also listen to festive music and try different international cuisine. This sounds like the perfect way to wear out your kids, and I. AM. IN. (July 24th and 25th)


5. Head to Let's Play Books for a FREE Storytime (https://www.letsplaybooks.com/event/saturday-storytime-around-world-girls)

This Saturday, Let's Play Books will be hosting a special in-person story time, Around the World w/G is for GIRL. As the mother of a little girl myself, I am always looking for ways to empower my little one! This is going on the top of my list this weekend! Books during these story times are aimed at children between the ages of 3-8. (July 24th)
