Whether you're still shopping for a niece or nephew, or want one more addition to your kiddo's stocking, experience gifts are perfect! They don't take up any space in your house, and they create lifelong memories. Plus, it's a great way to support small businesses. Check out the list below for some great ideas that you can still grab for your kiddos.
1- For the Creative Kiddo: Slime Time (https://slimetimeentertainment.com)
Slime Time may be the single best thing to happen to The Lehigh Valley in 2021. My kids LOVE slime, but I hate the mess. Slime Time allows your kiddos to make their own slime, including mix-ins and play in giant tubs of slime, water beads, kinetic slime, etc. It's a great place to let the creativity flow.
2- For the Little Scientist: DaVinci Center (https://www.davincisciencecenter.org)
I join DaVinci every year for my kids and it's always money well spent. DaVinci has rotating exhibits throughout the year, as well as permanent fixtures for your children to explore. It's great for any age. The downstairs area has a great ball area that is great for younger children, and the upstairs has plenty of experience for older children. Members also receive a discount to summer camps, which we also utilize each year.
3- For the Little Diva: Sweet and Sassy (https://www.sweetandsassy.com/lehigh-valley/)
Sweet and Sassy is a dream for any little girl or boy who loves being pampered. Buy a gift card and allow your little one to choose a salon service, go crazy in the storefront, or attend one of the many adorable events. I recently took my kids to a Glow Party, and the kids went crazy! I would highly recommend any of their events.
4- For the Movie Enthusiast: Movie Tavern (https://www.marcustheatres.com/theatre-locations/movie-tavern-trexlertown)
Last weekend I took my kids to the Movie Tavern for the first time and I don't think I'll ever be able to take them to another movie theater again. They loved everything about this place. Big reclining chairs, food service to your seats, and a bar for the parents (ok, the kids didn't love this part... but I did!) They were talking about coming back before we had even left the property.
5- For Artistic Kiddos: Color Me Mine (https://lehighvalley.colormemine.com)
Color Me Mine is the perfect place for any age! My 4-year-old loves to paint there just as much as I do. The Bethlehem location offers shelves full of different ceramic options for guests to choose from: Star Wars, unicorns, mugs, plates, piggy banks, and much more! They also offer special children's themed nights throughout the year. A Color Me Mine gift card would be great for a young artistic child all the way up to high school or college-aged.
6- For the Little Musician: Creative Learning Lab (https://www.discovercll.com)
Creative Learning Lab in Allentown offers instrument, voice, drama, coding, and art lessons for a wide range of instruments and ages. This is another gift that could be great for any age. Art lessons begin at age 5 and virtual lessons are available. This would also be a great grandparent's gift, because lessons can add up if your child is involved in a few extracurriculars. Not sure what your kiddo is into? Buy a gift card and let them decide!
7- For the Kid with Endless Energy: FreeFall Trampoline Park (https://www.freefalltrampolinepark.com)
FreeFall Trampoline Park is my favorite place in The Lehigh Valley to let my kids get their energy out! This place is huge! There are trampolines, foam pits, a ropes course, a giant play set, and more! Parents can relax in one of the many massage chairs, or buy a wrist band for yourself and jump along! I always jump with my kids and count it as my exercise for the day! FreeFall has a special hour set aside every morning for toddlers, and then open-jump time for all ages. This is another gift that would be great for any age. I've seen toddlers and teenagers (and adults!) having the time of their life while visiting FreeFall.
8- For the Child with Endless Imagi Nation: ImagiNation (https://www.imaginationexp.com/home.html)
Imagi Nation is an amazing place to let your young child's imagination go wild. There are several themed rooms filled with toys for creative play. Children can pretend to run a grocery store, host a television show, run a hospital, and more! This would be an excellent present for a toddler or preschool-aged child.
9- For the future Zoologist: Lehigh Valley Zoo (https://www.lvzoo.org)
You cannot go wrong with a membership to The Lehigh Valley Zoo as a gift for a child or family. No matter how many times we go, we always seem to find something new to enjoy. Plus, members receive a discount on many special events.
