Summer is almost here, and Macaroni Kid Allentown is celebrating by bringing back: 5 Things to do This Weekend! Every Wednesday, check back for a list of fun things to do during the upcoming weekend! These events are either low-cost or free, family friendly, and always fun!

This past week I found myself in another conversation about this fun weekly event. Can you believe that I still haven't been to Food Truck Thursdays at the South Mall? Food just tastes better out of a food truck! Plus, it's a fun way to take the night off of cooking. Bring some camping chairs and blankets and have a fun evening out with the whole family! (June 2nd)

Parkland Library is kicking off their summer reading series with a fun block party this Saturday! Swing by for FREE live music, crafts, snacks, and more! There's even a pirate training show for the kiddos (requires registration, visit here for more information). (June 4th)

Visit Macungie Memorial Park for a fun day in the park. There will be a variety of food trucks, vendors, music, face painting, games, bounce houses and the Butterfly Safari where you can learn to feed live butterflies. (June 4th)

This is my favorite farmer's market in the Lehigh Valley! Every Sunday, visit the triangle in Emmaus for its weekly farmer's market. Load up on fresh fruits, veggies, meats, flowers, and more! Grab a coffee or hot breakfast and enjoy the live music. (June 5th)
