5 Things to do This Weekend in the Lehigh Valley (Nov. 17th - 19th)

By Rebecca Seidenberger, Macaroni KID Allentown and Bethlehem November 14, 2023

1- Visit Macaroni KID Allentown and Bethlehem at The Promenade Tree Lighting

This Saturday, head to The Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley for the annual tree lighting. Welcome Santa to the big event, count down to the tree lighting, enjoy performances, and visit Macaroni KID Allentown and Bethlehem to write a letter to Santa and complete a fun craft. Don't miss this fun, festive event! (Saturday, November 18th)

2- Opening Weekend at Chriskindlmarkt

Chriskindlmarkt is one of my family's favorite traditions! We could spend hours just walking around from booth to booth checking out the different booths featuring local artisans. In addition, there is live music, tons of food and beverage options, live ice carving demonstrations, glass blowing demonstrations, crafts, and... Santa! (Friday - Sunday, November 17th - 19th)

3- Trolls Band Together: Super Fan Event

My daughter and I have been counting down the days until the new Trolls movie premiers! The new *NSYNC song has been playing on repeat in my house, and I'm not mad at it one bit. This Saturday, you can head to the Trexlertown Movie Tavern for a very special super fan event. With each ticket to the Trolls movie, you also receive either a Junior ICEE or fountain beverage, a Trolls collectible Mineez Toy, a Trolls mini poster, and the opportunity to enjoy special family games and activities at the theatre before the show begins! (Saturday, November 18th)

4- Lower Macungie Library Fall Book Sale

Library Books Sales are a great way to add to your child's library without spending a lot of money. You can find gently-used books at a fraction of their original price. It's also a great way to help fund libraries - which are such a great part of any community. All weekend, visit Lower Macungie Library for their annual book sale. (Friday - Saturday, November 17th - 18th)

5- Christmas Market on the Farm

If you haven't visited Hausman's Fruit Farm in Coopersburg yet, you are in for a treat! This Sunday you can visit the small, family-run farm for a special Christmas Market. The market will feature different local vendors, crafts, and baked goods! The best part of any Christmas trip to Hausman's is their beautiful train display... your kiddos will love it! (Sunday, November 19th)
