At Active Learning Centers, our campers are always active and exploring! They spend most of their time outdoors, participating in fun games and activities that inspire creativity, imagination, and independence. Every week features a new theme, keeping things fresh, exciting, and ensuring they can’t wait to return. Along the way, they build lasting friendships, improve their communication skills, and grow stronger socially and emotionally. Each week includes a Field Trip. Some examples are: Blue Marsh Lake, Knoebels, Color Run, Iron Pigs, Cooking Class, and more! Active Learning Centers: Summer Camp with a Meaningful Purpose!
What makes our camp GREAT?
- Each week at camp features a new theme, with activities designed to align with it. These activities are carefully crafted to promote learning, encourage growth, and help children develop essential social and emotional skills.
- Pool time is always a favorite! We’ll make sure they’re worn out and happy by the end of the day, but rest assured, safety is our top priority. Our staff-to-child ratio exceeds state requirements, and we even have our own lifeguard on duty.
- Safety is always at the forefront of everything we do. When we venture off-site, we follow strict safety protocols and ensure all campers are easily identifiable in their color-coded shirts.
- Our martial arts program stands out for its unique combination of traits that martial arts fosters—everything from listening and problem-solving skills to courage and communication. It’s an experience that’s both fun and transformative. Throughout the week, every activity is designed to help your child grow into a confident, capable leaders.
2025 Summer Camp Schedule
Week 1: Game On! June 9 – 13
LET’S GO! Being active is what we’re all about! We won’t stop at just sports this year! Campers take a look at being active from all angles as we explore sports, fitness and other ways for us to get off the couch, disconnect from the screens and get in shape!

Week 2: Ships and Sailors June 16 – 20
PERMISSION TO BOARD? Prepare for a week of swashbuckling fun as we sail the seven seas learning about sailing ships, pirate ships, battle ships, and yachts and what life aboard these vessels was like at different periods in history!
TRIP: Canal Boat (K-3rd) Seaport Museum (4th – 8th)
Week 3: Into the Woods June 23 – 27
CAMPFIRES AND GHOST STORIES ANYONE? Experience camp in a whole new way as we learn survival skills, how to pitch a tent, campfire songs and stories and all the fun and excitement, not to mention challenges, of camping overnight in the woods! All while the sun is still shining of course!

Week 4: Born in the USA! June 30 – July 3
OH, SAY CAN YOU SEE! Join us for an active and festive week celebrating America’s birthday. It will be a week of red, white, and blue – from our clothes and crafts to our classrooms and our snacks! Not to mention a little history thrown in…and then wrapped up with our annual color run.

Week 5: Lights, Camera, Action! July 7 – 11
READY FOR YOUR CLOSEUP? Come discover the glitz and glamor of the stage. This week will be filled with singing, dancing, acting, directing, screenwriting and even set design! Discover what it takes to get your name in lights!
TRIP: Theater (K-3rd) Prom (4th – 8th)
Week 6: Fear Factor July 14 – 18
DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES? Join us this week as we experience exciting new challenges and confront those things that scare us most! Campers will challenge their taste buds, challenge their minds, and compete against other campers in fun and yucky challenges! Find out once and for all if fear really is a factor for you!

Week 7: Score! July 21 – 25
DO YOU LIKE SPORTS? This is the week for you. Soccer, basketball, volleyball, swimming, dance, martial arts, baseball, kickball, and more. Various sports clinics will be held throughout the week to help you improve your skills. This fun filled week is packed with great games and nonstop action.

Week 8: Doodle Days July 28 – August 1
GRAB YOUR SMOCK! This week will be filled with exciting opportunities for you to explore your artistic talents. You will discover your creativity through visual arts. You will enjoy a vast array of artistic expressions including painting, drawing, sculpting, technology, and more.

Week 9: Gadgets and Gizmos August 4 – 8
INGENUITY ABOUNDS! Do you like to take things apart and see how they work? Do you like to be creative and make new things or improve existing things? Come explore many of the inventions that we use on a daily basis and discover the inventor in you.
TRIP: Interactive Museum
Week 10: Ready, Set, Jet! August 11 – 15
PACK YOUR BAGS! Get your passports ready for our trip around the world. We will be exploring across the globe this week as we learn about the food, music, language, games, crafts, and fun other kids have throughout the world.

Week 11: Do Good, Feel Good! August 18 – 22
WE GOT YOU! This week is all about selflessness as we make a difference in your community. Our young campers learn the meaning of service and will help support others while older campers are given the opportunity to complete a service project in the community.
