Crayola Experience: A Macaroni Kid Review

By Mary Shoemaker August 20, 2015
Earlier this week, my sister and I gathered up our kids and headed to Crayola Experience in Easton for one last hurrah before the start of school. Although our children are young (spanning 3-5 years old), Crayola is designed for kids of all ages. Most of the kids we saw were between the ages of 2-12, and everyone was having a blast!

When you enter the factory, each visitor receives a bag with two tokens. The bag is to hold all of the art you create (trust me, you'll need it!) and the tokens can be redeemed for fun goodies throughout your visit, like a custom wrapped crayon or modeling clay. After that, you're set off to explore the three floors jam-packed with activities!

The thing that I like best about Crayola is that many of the activities require the kids to get up and move, which is just perfect for little ones who can't sit still for too long. The attractions are set up so that focused projects, such as coloring and painting, are interspersed with ones that focus on physical activity, like jumping on their magical Game Stomp floor or climbing through the two-story Color Playground. It kept our kids entertained for 3+ hours (although you could easily spend even more time in the factory), and they left happy and exhausted. Hooray for long naps! :)
