Students at The Baum School of Art’s Summer Art Camps and The Fashion Academy will have a blast this summer while learning how to create art and fashion. One week camps run from June 15–August 21, 2020. Children and teens, ages 5–17, can register for ½ day camps or full day camps. Morning studio art camps are from 9:00am–12:00pm and afternoon studio art camps are from 1:00pm–4:00pm. Students who stay for the full day have a supervised lunch hour with a movie and convenient After Camp Care is available from 4:00pm–5:30pm.
Summer Art Camps include Art Adventures for ages 5 and 6, while older students can choose from Drawing and Painting, Sculpture, Graphic Design, Jewelry and Metalsmithing, Cartooning, Character Design, Sculpture, Photography, Digital Animation and multi-media studios, which give students the opportunity to explore several different art media during the week.
For the young fashion lover, the popular Fashion Academy for ages 9-17 will offer 8 weeks of fashion themed camps. Throughout the summer, students will learn about all things fashion, including sewing, draping, patternmaking, illustration, styling, embellishing and upcycling techniques.
The Baum School of Art is partnering once again with other Allentown arts organizations to offer City Arts Camp, a one week collaborative camp between the Allentown Art Museum, Allentown Symphony Association, The Baum School of Art, Civic Theatre of Allentown, Community Music School, and Repertory Dance Theatre. This camp will expose children ages 7–11 to art, dance, music, and theatre throughout the week of June 22–26, 2020.
