At Active Learning Centers, we do summer camp the way it used to be. Children spend most of their day outside playing. They have the opportunity to go to the swimming pool twice a week. They go on field trips once a week and play at a local park at least once a week.

Our summer camp was born out of our martial arts program. Parents kept asking: "Will you take my child for the summer? I want them to have more of this structure and fun."  So we did. The next year it grew. The year after that it grew some more. Eventually, we began to offer full year care… and the rest is history.

Still, we do summer camp all out. Every child enrolled in summer camp will also have the opportunity to take martial arts classes twice a week at no extra charge. The only things you won’t find at this summer camp are TV’s and video games… this is Active Learning Centers. We mean the “active” part!

Camp JCC's all-day camp program, which runs June 10 – August 23, includes arts and crafts, science and imagination, outside fun, dance parties, swimming, recreational time, and more. Our trained counselors will provide care while children enjoy lots of great programming to fit their interests. Choose from Camp Adventure’s traditional outdoor day camp experience featuring special themes, events, and field trips (1st – 8th Grade) or explore new interests with 20 different specialty camps ranging from performing arts and cooking to sports and science (Pre-K -  8th Grade). Our youngest campers can get a taste of what Camp JCC has to offer with Camp Junior (Pre-K & Kindergarten), which runs at a flexible pace with age-appropriate activities. 9th and 10 graders can join our Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program and gain valuable hands-on leadership and life skills needed to be successful while still experiencing the fun of camp.

Danbee Arts & Dance Camp is a traditional summer camp experience in the Berkshires for girls ages 9 to 15 with a love for fine arts or dance.

Learning meets adventure at Fountain Valley School (FVS) Summer Session, where campers pursue their passions, build confidence, and make new friends. FVS’s secure, 1,100-acre campus is home to a three-story Art Barn, athletic complex with an indoor climbing wall and pool, and ample opportunities for academic exploration in the great outdoors.

Students entering grades 1st-6th are invited to Hawk Mountain’s Summer Nature Camps—8 weeks of fun and interactive day camps with new themes each week, and every day will be spent outside developing a deeper connection with the natural world through fun and educational activities! Star of the Day: Spotlight Academies offers two options this summer for your budding thespian!

Camp Little Stars for ages 5-11 runs June 17-28, 2024. M-F, 9am - 1pm. Featuring the brand new musical "Birthday Ahoy! Musical escapades of pirates & mermaids" Tuition $375 Campers will be immersed in a musical theatre education while rehearsing for a musical production.

Summer Spotlight Academy for ages 8-18 runs July 29 - Aug 18, 2024. M-F, 9am - 3pm. Featuring the musical Annie. Tuition is $665. Campers will be immersed in specialty performing arts classes taught by professionals in the theatre industry in the morning and rehearsal in the afternoon. The camp ends with 4 performances of Annie, Jr.
